Cala Sambuco (Spiaggia Cala Sambuco) is a very small beach near Santa Teresa di Gallura in the area of Punta Falcone, in Norhtern Sardinia. This beach is located just 1 kilometer south-east of La Marmorata beach, offering views of the islands of the La Maddalena in the distance. Cala Sambuco spans just 70 meters, but boasts all the features that Sardinian beaches are so famous for. Cala Sambuco is not easy to reach, it is accessible by a rather steep path that is best conquered with a 4 wheel drive car, or an SUV. The beach is a good spot for snorkelling, offers a bar, and several kinds of water sports equipment are available for rent.
How To Get To Cala Sambuco
From Santa Teresa Gallura, take the SS133bis to Porto Pozzo. After nearly 4 kilometers, near the village of Ruoni, turn left onto the Strada Marazzino Ruoni. After 600 meters, turn left onto the Strada Cala Sambuco - the road that will take you to the beach after about 3 kilometers.
