Drive east from Santa Teresa Gallura for about 10 or 15 minutes, and you’ll discover Porto Quadro beach (Spiaggia Porto Quadro). This beach is nicely settled between the small villages of Terravecchia – Porto Quadro to the west, La Ficaccia to the south, and Villaggio La Marmoratina to the east. The beach faces north-west, looking out over the Strait of Bonifacio and the white cliffs of Corsica in the distance. Porto Quadro beach is just 130 meters long. Its size make it a very relaxed and charming beach, with golden coloured sands that contrast beautifully with the blue waters and the lively greeneries of its surroundings. Its waters are shallow and mostly calm, as Porto Quadro is sheltered from the winds by the rocky shores of Punta Falcone and Punta Marmorata, two scenic spots in the area that may be worth exploring. Furthermore, near Punta Falcone you can visit the Fortificazione Militare Punta Falcone and the artillery units Ferrero and De Carolis, two military remnants from the Second World War. Several bars, restaurants and hotels are in the direct vicinity of Porto Quadro. The beach is suitable for families with children.

In Terravecchia – Portoquadro, just a few hundred meters west of the beach, you’ll find Residence Punta Falcone. This beach property offers 43 Sardinian-style apartments with a private entrance and garden, kitchen and beautiful views of the sea, Corsica and the islets of Lavezzi and Cavallo. The property also features an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace. Rates include a weekly cleaning of the apartment and a weekly change of all linens and towels. The residence has its own private beach, located 300 meters from the property. It is easily accessible on foot via a sandy path. From Olbia

From Olbia, on the roundabout take the 3rd exit to Via Principe Umberto. Then turn right and take the SS125, continue for 2 roundabouts. Next, turn left and take Stazzo Maltineddu/SS133 (in the directions to St. Teresa G./Tempio P.), continue following the SS133. Turn left on Via Giorgio Asproni/SS133. Continue on the SS133, then turn right onto Località La Ficaccia. Continue straight on Località Terravecchia, and turn right onto Porto Quadro. Take the first left turn and stay on Località Porto Quadro.
