About Spiaggia di Putzu Idu
Putzu Idu beach (Spiaggia di Putzu Idu) is located in the west of Sardinia, 20 kilometers north-west of Oristano. This beach is approximately 1200 meters long, and lies between the small villages of Porto Mandriola and Putzu Idu. Putzu Idu beach is surrounded by salt pans – where often flamingos can be spotted – that are immediately found behind the beach. Its fine sands, shallow waters and long rolling waves make Putzu Idu beach one of Sardinia’s favorite surfing and kitesurfing destinations. From Putzu Idu, fascinating trips to the island of Mal di Ventre can also be made. Putzu Idu has a large car parking area, hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes. Pedal boats and other watercraft can be rented. The beach is particularly suitable for scuba fishing and snorkelling enthusiasts.
How To Get To Spiaggia di Putzu Idu
From Riola Sardo, continue on the SS 292 about 2 kilometers, then turn left towards Putzu Idu. After continuing for about 11 kilometres, you will reach Putzu Idu.
