About Spiaggia di Porto Pino
Porto Pino beach (Spiaggia di Porto Pino) is widely considered to be one of the best beaches of south Sardinia. This wonderful southern Sardinian oasis is located right at the border between the provinces of Cagliari and Carbonia-Iglesias, just southeast of the villages of Porto Pino and Porto Pinetto. Porto Pino beach has a length of 4 kilometers and faces south-west, offering views of Isola La Vacca situated 15 kilometers off the coast. The beach is characterized by majestic sand dunes and is surrounded by several ponds (Stagno di BrebĂ©is and Stagno di Maestrale) where marvelous pink flamingos can be spotted. The Porto Pino beach area is well equipped with sun umbrellas, bars, bathrooms and water sports opportunities such as surfing or scuba diving. The sea at Porto Pino beach is crystal clear and shallow, ideal for families with children or for those who’d like to walk along the long shore. The walk from the parking lot to the beach will take you approximately 5 minutes. Spiaggia di Porto Pino can get quite busy during high season, head south towards Spiaggia delle Dune if you feel like having a bit more serenity.

How To Get To Spiaggia di Porto Pino
From Cagliari, Spiaggia di Porto Pino can be reached by taking the Strada Provinciale 2 heading west to leave the city, then taking the Strada Statale 293 heading south in the direction of Giba. It will be about an 80 kilometer drive.
