About Spiaggia di Porto Tramatzu
Drive south from Teulada for about 9 kilometers, and you’ll discover Porto Tramatzu beach (Spiaggia di Porto Tramatzu). It is a favourite among the locals. The beach has a length of about 350 meters and faces south-east, featuring nice views of a little island named Isola Rossa that lies 1 kilometers off the coast. You’d almost think you’re on a Caribbean beach, but this really is South Sardinia at its finest! Porto Tramatzu is a family-friendly beach where the sand is white and fine. The incredibly blue waters are shallow enough for children to play in, the seabed has a gentle slope. The beach is well-equipped, with a large parking right behind the beach and a family-run restaurant where you can order a delicious espresso, a cocktail or a wide variety of sandwiches. Toilets and showers are available. It is also possible to rent a boat at Porto Tramatzu to go around the coast and enjoy the fantastic views of Isla Rossa and other beaches in the area. Kayaks and pedal boats are available for rent as well. The area is also excellent for snorkeling. Porto Tramatzu can get busy in August, as there is a camping north of the beach. It’s best to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon during high season. Make sure you bring something for shade or rent an umbrella.

S'Acqua Sassa Resort
In the unspoiled hills of Teulada, just a few kilometers north-east of Spiaggia di Porto Tramatzu, you'll find the three star S'Acqua Sassa Resort. From the beach of Porto Tramatzu, head north-east for about 11 kilometers, and you'll find the three-star Hotel Belvedere. Set on a hilltop covered with juniper trees, Hotel Belvedere features panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and is surrounded by the wild nature of South Sardinia. It's located only three kilometers from the centre of Teulada. All double and single rooms are air conditioned and have a patio or a terrace, and have been furnished in a traditional southern Sardinian country style. The restaurant serves traditional Sardinian dishes for dinner, and there's a pizzeria with an outside patio and an ice cream parlour. Hotel Belvedere is family-friendly, and features a seasonal outdoor pool with sundeck.
How To Get To Spiaggia di Porto Tramatzu
Porto Tramatzu Beach can easily be reached from Teulada. You'll enjoy the 9 kilometer drive, it's very scenic. From Teulada, head west on Strada Statale 195 Sulcitana toward Via Enrico Addis. After three kilometers, turn left onto the Strada Provinciale 71 and follow the signs for Porto Teulada. Leave the Strada Provinciale 71 after about two kilometers by making a right turn. Keep heading south to reach the parking space at the beach.
