About Spiaggia di Santa Maria Navarrese
Santa Maria Navarrese beach (Spiaggia di Santa Maria Navarrese), the central beach of the town with the same name, is located just 5 kilometers south of the scenic but rocky shores of Pedra Longa beach. From Santa Maria Navarrrese, it can easily be accessed from the stairway in front of the town’s church. The pebbly Santa Maria Navarrese beach has a beautiful bay that’s being sheltered from the mistral winds from the north. The sea’s bottom slopes down gently, making this beach ideal for small children. Santa Maria Navarrese Beach runs from the Spanish Tower to the first bar, and is approximately 500 meters long. The surroundings of Santa Maria Navarrese beach are highlighted by red rocks, and a forest with pine trees. San Giovanni beach is nearby to the south of the Spanish Tower, with a small pebbly cove that’s an ideal spot for snorkelling.
