Nodu Pianu beach (Spiaggia di Nodu Pianu) is located in the area of Nodu Pianu, 2 kilometers north-east of Pittulongu, and just a few kilometers north-east of Olbia.
Together with Spiaggia La Playa, Spiaggia dello Squalo and Spiaggia di Bados, Nodu Pianu is definitely worth a visit if you’re driving up north in the direction of the Costa Smeralda or Golfo Aranci.
The white beach is about 200 meters long, and its sands vary from pure white to gray, with small pebbles scattered across the beach. There is a small kiosk in the area that sells sandwiches, wraps, smoothies and cocktails. Rafts and canoes are available for rent, and there’s usually a lifeguard on the beach during high season.
With a low seabed, Spiaggia di Nodu Pianu is a good spot for snorkelling, and perfect for families with young children. During the months of July and August, the beach can be crowded, so make sure you go early in the morning if you can. There’s a footpath that connects Nodu Pianu to Spiaggia Cala Banana, another fine stretch of sand that’s certainly worth checking out.
Right behind Spiaggia Cala Banana, there’s a spacious parking area for cars and RV vehicles. It’s an ideal spot for campers to make a stop in the evening before embarking on the ferry in Olbia. The boarding of the ferry to Olbia can be reached in about 15 minutes.
