About Spiaggia delle Ginestre

Walk north for a few hundred meters along the beach from Scoglio di Peppino, and you’ll reach Ginestre beach (Spiaggia delle Ginestre). This is the south section of Costa Rei’s main beach, which has a length of over 7 kilometers! Spiaggia delle Ginestre has a length of over 2 kilometers, until it changes into the beach of Marina Rei (Spiaggia di Marina Rei).

Waters are shallow here for the first few meters, it’s a suitable beach for families with children. Spiaggia delle Ginestre is well equipped and offers a full range of facilities, including several spots to park your car, and the beachfront camping Villaggio Camping Capo Ferrato at the south side of the beach.

Several cafés and restaurants are scattered along the beach. It is possible to rent beach umbrellas and sun loungers. Beach activities include snorkelling, pedal boating, walking along the long shore, playing beach volleyball, and going on dinghy trips. Spiaggia delle Ginestre is also an ideal spot for windsurfers, weather permitting.

How To Get To Spiaggia delle Ginestre

To reach Spiaggia delle Ginestre from Cagliari, follow Strada Statale 125 Orientale Sarda, then the SS554bis and SS125var to the SP20 in Castiadas. Take the exit toward Castiadas from SS125var. Continue until you've reached Costa Rei. It shouldn't take you much longer than one hour.
