Spiaggia di Maimoni

If you're staying in the area of Oristano, do yourself a favour and drive west for about half an hour. It's a scenic drive, which takes you along the Stagno di Mistras, a lagoon in the area where you can see many species of birds, including pink flamingos. After about 20 kilometers, you'll find the beach of Maimomi Spiaggia di Maimoni, a 1200 meter long stretch of white sand. It's truly one of the most beautiful and wild beaches of west Sardinia. Spiaggia di Maimoni faces west, overlooking the gorgeous waters of the Marine Protected Area of the Peninsula of Sinis. Stay until sunset if you can.
Cala Tremonti

Just a few kilometers south-west from the center of Baja Sardinia you'll find the beach of Cala Tremonti (Spiaggia di Tremonti). This pristine beach, shaped like a half moon, is set among polished granite rocks and has a length of about 140 meters. Cala Tremonti is one of few beaches of the Costa Smeralda that faces due west, making it the ideal romantic spot for watching the sun go down at the end of a warm day. In the middle of the beach, you'll find beach chairs and parasols available for rent. On the south side, you'll find a 150-meter long footpath that gives easy access to two smaller beaches.

Cala Li Cuncheddi

Cala Li Cuncheddi is located just in front of the Hotel Cala Li Cuncheddi along some typically serene coastline near Olbia. Set in a charming bay, this pristine beach offers golden sands which are notoriously clean and fine. As with many beaches in Sardinia, the sea offers a beautiful crystalline color that collides with emerald green, turquoise, and blue. Consequently, it also has a shallow, sandy bottom with a rocky bed and a reef at either end. The presence of the above-mentioned reefs makes Cala Li Cuncheddi a perfect location for snorkeling, surfing, and other water sports.
Spiaggia di Porto Pinetto

Spiaggia di Porto Pinetto is located just a few hundred meters west of the tiny coastal village of Porto Pino, in the province of Carbonia-Iglesias, in Southwest Sardinia. The hidden beach is shaped like a half moon and has a length of about 180 meters. The beach faces west, offering lovely views of the headlands near Punta Menga on the south side. About 14 kilometers across the lush blue waters, you can spot the southeast coast of Sant'Antioco, the second largest island of Sardinia, after Sardinia itself, and the fourth largest island in Italy, after Sicily. The two small island you'll see on the horizon are Isola la Vacca and Isola del Toro. The north and south side of Spiaggia di Porto Pinetto are backed by small sand dunes. Behind those dunes, you'll find thick stretches of pine forest. You'll find scattered rocks along the beach, and the sandy parts of the beach have a golden color. Walk to the south side, and you'll discover another small beach that is completely composed of a rocky bed. On the north side of Spiaggia di Porto Pinetto, there are more inlets and little reefs to explore along Via del Pino d'Aleppo. The beach is suitable for families with children.
Spiaggia del Pirata

Spiaggia del Pirata is a small beach that's located 50 meters south of Hotel Capriccioli. It has a length of just 100 meters and faces west, offering views of la Celvia beach to the north and the mountainous surroundings behind Spiaggia Li Itriceddi to the west. It is a nice beach for some relaxed snorkelling, as its waters are shallow and you'll find some scattered rocks in the water to swim around. On the north side of the beach you'll find a dock. Parking is available right behind the beach.
Spiaggia di Turas

Drive south from Bosa Marina for about 1.5 kilometers and you’ll discover the beach of Turas (La Spiaggia di Turas). The beach has a length of nearly 400 meters, and faces west, offering nice views of Bosa Marina and its ancient tower – La Torre di Bosa – to the north.
Spiaggia S’Abba Druche

Drive 5 kilometers in a north-west direction from the center of Bosa, and you’ll find the beach named S’Abba Druche (La Spiaggia S’Abba Druche di Bosa, also known as S’Abba Drukke). This beach has a length of nearly 200 meters and faces west, overlooking the clear and transparent sea. It’s a nice secluded spot.
Spiaggia Punta Nuraghe

On the other side of Spiaggia Ira you'll find Punta Nuraghe, a small beach with a length of about 80 meters. It faces west, featuring views over the Golfo Cugnana and Marina di Portisco to the north-east. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent, as well as canoes.
Spiaggia di Is Solinas

You'll find Is Solinas beach near the tiny Sardinian villages of Is Solinas and Is Murronis. The beach is located 8 kilometers north of Porto Pino beach. The beach faces due west, overlooking the blue waters of the Golfo di Palmas and Sant'Antioco island. It is backed mostly by sand dunes covered with lovely juniper trees, and by rather large ponds named Stagno di Porto Botte and Stagno Baiocca. Water is very shallow up to 80-120 meters from the shore. Statistically, this region is one of the windiest of Sardinia. The beach is a great place for kitesurfing, except for the months of June through September when kitesurfing here is prohibited,
Spiaggia Monti Russu
